209radio Wins TalkTalk Award209radio Wins TalkTalk Award Karl Hartland (Station Manager) and volunteer Jordan Chambers travelled to the House of Lords on Weds the 5th November to receive an award from TalkTalk's Innovation in the Community scheme.

We have been given £2000 by the scheme to revamp our elderly computer room while another Cambridge project Cambridge Online was also honoured.

Jordan Chambers from 209radio commented: “We are thrilled to win this award as it will enable us to implement our project and benefit many more people than would otherwise have been possible. It’s a real boost to everyone here and we’re grateful to TalkTalk for this support.”

We are seeking a design team to help with publicity and the look and feel of our new website.

Outreach and publicity drops-
Are you able to deliver leaflets door-to-door and to public spaces?
We are seeking outreach volunteers to help get the word out to Cambridge residents.

Newsdesk team-
Do you want to gain experience in audio editing, writing for radio, interviewing or research? We need newsdesk volunteers to help support our programme teams

Daytime presenters-
Do you have time on weekdays to join or form a team to produce and present a regular daytime programme?
Exciting opportunities exist to populate our daytime programme slots- no experience required as all training and support will be given.
Gain skills, meet new people and get your voice heard!
