Renewal of MembershipMembership is valid for one year from the date of joining. Renewal reminders will be sent by email or post and it is the responsibility of active members to renew their own membership. Payment can be made by cheque, Postal Order, cash or via Paypal. Cheques/POs should be made payable to 209radio Ltd, please note 209radio can take no responsibility for cash sent to us by post, please make cash payments in person.Confidentiality1Membership records will be kept confidential and members’ details will not be disclosed to other members without their permission and will not be passed to other organisations, e.g. for commercial gain. Member’s details will only be used by 209radio for contact and monitoring purposes within the station organisation.Membership ContractYou can either join as an Active member of 209, or become a Friend of 209radio.Active members can get involved with the station's operations according to their skills and enthusiasm and will in the future have options to undertake formal training courses linked to nationally recognised qualifications. Active members also have the right to vote on station matters when the occasion arises i.e. at Annual General Meetings and at committee meetings. Joining the Friends of 209radio is a gesture of support for the organisation but you will be unable to take an active role within the station or vote on station matters until you upgrade your membership by paying the difference in subscription price. In the event of upgrading membership, the member’s renewal date remains the same and membership is not available on a Pro Rata basis. Members are asked to conduct station business in a civilised and responsible manner at all times. 209radio reserves the right to discontinue any membership in the case of clear misconduct according to the rules stated in the constitution. 209radio promises to treat all members, volunteers and employees equally, fairly and with respect. 209radio has adopted and will operate an Equal Opportunities Policy. Subscription RatesMembership subscription rates will be determined and agreed by Management Committee as described in the constitution. Any change in the rate will be publicised to members with at least three months notice of change.Active: £120/lifetime (+ £2.50 Paypal and postage fee when ordered online) Active: £20/year (+ £1.50 Paypal and postage fee when ordered online) Friends Of 209radio: £10/year (+ £1.00 Paypal and postage fee when ordered online) Required from Members

Members will be entitled to discounts on admission to events organised and promoted by 209radio. Depending on projects undertaken by individual active members or groups with the organisation, those members and groups will receive project planning support, guidance and in the event of acceptance, advice and support in funding matters, training and participation in station activities. Membership cards. Regular mailings of events and subject to resources a monthly/3-monthly newsletter. There is a great deal to be decided concerning what areas the organisation will get involved in. Some of these areas may bring about opportunities for further benefits for members, such as opportunities to buy music at favourable rates. As the station grows, formal training opportunities in the skills and disciplines related to radio and media, linked to recognised qualifications, will become available.
